QUEERPORT and UrgentEMS to Hold Shreveport's First LGBTQIA+ Health Fair

QUEERPORT is gearing up for our first-ever Health + Beauty + Queersource Fair happening Saturday, April 30 in the Urgent EMS parking lot in downtown Shreveport. The event is scheduled from 11 am-3 pm and is 100% free AND all ages.

While we have become known for our work with the queer creative community, we understand the need and desire of being flexible and listening to what others want. This informational and educational fair features an array of trans and gender non-conforming affirming practices and individuals who are plan to spread the word that there are plenty of options in northwest Louisiana when it comes to health, beauty and QUEERsources!

While you're there, meet our co-host Dr. Tiffany Najberg with UrgentEMS. She'll be discussing gender affirming healthcare, COVID and various other topics throughout the day. Some of our vendors include Out of the Closet, Chemistry Hair Salon, Spectrum Tattoo, Elated Counseling Services, Mesloh Counseling Center, BlackYard Yoga, Guiding Light Mental Health, Shreveport Birth Center, United Way, Shreveport Writers Club, The Philadelphia Center, Reef Wellness, Club4Fitness and more. Starbucks will also be set up providing coffee and information regarding expanded benefits for trans people, as well as a number of food trucks.
