Drag Queen Story Time WILL Happen April 18 — Virtually!

These are some weird times we're living in, but hey, in the famous words of Tim Gunn — make it work!

We are OVER THE MOON about presenting to you Queerport's FIRST EVER Virtual Drag Queen Story Time on Saturday, April 18. This was originally supposed to be held that same day at Betty Virginia Park in Shreveport in conjunction with PACE's Pride in the Park, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and our "stay at home" order, the event has been rescheduled for Saturday, August 22. We will be debuting PHYSICALLY during the event ...

BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE CAN'T DELIVER WHAT WE PROMISED VIRTUALLY!

We're doing things A LITTLE differently than planned, but it's all for the kids, right? Parents and kids can tune into Queerport's Facebook page (time to be announced) on Saturday, April 18 FROM HOME and enjoy a live reading (and reading, if you're lucky!) from the sweetest sour girl we know — Lemon Pop! 🍋Our primary target for story time are kids age 10 and under, but everyone is welcome to join. Some of the books Lemon will be reading include Julián Is a Mermaid, And Tango Makes Three, and Annie's Plaid Shirt, among others. The lineup of times/readings will be posted online soon.
